I Finally Did It!
I have been wanting to switch from Blogger to a self-hosted WordPress, and this weekend I finally did it. I spent most of Friday playing with graphics and waiting for the accounts to be set up; then I installed wordpress and promptly blew it up.
So I spent most of early Saturday trying to undo the damage I did, and then gave myself the night off and went to visit friends and swim. Today has been a mass of insanity trying to decide what to add and where to put it and don’t even get me started on calendar widgets. I finally just made a page with a Google calendar on it…
I did manage to figure out how to import/export all of my old posts and comments over here, so there is that, and I’m pretty happy with the way it is looking. Feel free to leave comments and/or suggestions.
I’ve considered switching to wordpress, it seems like people like it a lot. On the other hand, I haven’t really run into a lot of trouble with blogger.
