friday’s feast #1
I found this meme the other week, but it isn’t currently being updated so I decided to see how far back I could find. I have found the questions for almost all of the weeks and am going to use them on fridays for now. Hopefully “The Chef” will return and friday’s feast will return to normal soon.
Here are the questions from the first feast dated May 21, 2004…
What time do you usually wake up each day? If you could choose your wake-up time, when would it be?
Horrid confession time… I am truly a night owl, so given my druthers I wouldn’t wake up until noon and I would stay awake most of the night. However, in the real world summers I am up by 9am and during the school year I am up at 5:30am and once I’m up I stay up.
When was the last time you bought groceries? What store did you go to? Name 3 things you purchased.
Hmmm. I went to the nearest Kroger, yesterday afternoon. I bought cilantro, tomallitos, and corn tortillas.
How many books have you read so far this year? Which was your favorite and why?
Wow, I’ve read at least 2 dozen already this year; but I guess I would say my favorite is a repeat read. The Stand by Stephen King has been one of my favorite novels for years and I reread it earlier this year and got something new from it. If you haven’t read it, I recommend it.
What is something you consider to be very elegant? In particular, what about that item/place/person conjures up the feeling of elegance?
Swans, they truly aren’t the most beautiful birds, but on the water there is a grace about them that touches me.
Who taught you how to drive?
My stepfather started the process; but he was a horrible mean bully who scared me into driving way to slow and made me doubt my abilities. My mother eventually got me driving and now living in the Atlanta area has made me a safe, cautious, and aware driver.
