Random Peeks Into Our Everyday Lives

Back to School

1. What was your favorite subject in school? Were you good at it naturally, or did you have to work hard?
Math was my favorite subject in school, I had a natural talent for it and with a little work I was easily the best at math each year.
2. Did you bring lunch to school, or did you buy it there? What was your favorite school lunch?
I started by bringing lunch to school, then I bought school lunch for a few years, then back to back lunch, and then for high school I just did whatever I wanted each day.
My favorite school lunch was pizza in elementary and middle school. In high school it was nothing at private school and hamburgers & fries at public school.
3. Were you involved in any extracurricular activities in school?
I was involved in chorus, drama club, yearbook, and the adventure club.
4. Did you have uniforms or a dress code in school? What did you typically wear to school?
I started out in public school and wore what my mother bought me, then I went to private school for several years and wore ugly plaid jumper and the like. When I was a junior I went to back to public school and I made my own money babysitting so I got to buy my own clothes. I must admit that I’ve pretty much always been a jeans, t-shirt, and sneakers kind of person.
5. Did you have any back-to-school rituals ( like clothes shopping, a new hairstyle, or an end-of summer party)? Were you excited about going back to school after the summer?
Every year I got a haircut and school supplies, and when I was in public school we would go shopping for clothes. I like school and since my birthday always fell around the start of school (once on the first day) I knew my party was coming up soon.
