American Idol – Orlando Auditions
10,000 hopefuls came out for the Orlando auditions and while there were a few interesting voices, yes, I even remember their names, it was overall a wasted hour. I seriously can’t wait until we get to the voting part.
The guest judge was Kristin Chenoweth, and she and Kara hit it off immediately. She gave great feedback and advice; but was only there for the first day. It’s worth noting that without a fourth Simon, Randy, and Kara have nothing going on.
The notable hopefuls for me from Orlando are Matthew Lawrence, Jermaine Purifoy, Janelle Wheeler, and Brittany Starr James. The absolute disaster award goes to Jarrod Norrell who not only sang the worst rendition of Amazing Grace I’ve ever heard, he managed to get arrested after refusing to exit the audition. All said 31 made it through to Hollywood.
On a totally unrelated note, after months of looking at tv stands, I bought one shortly before Christmas, I still haven’t assemble it, I think tomorrow/today is the day.
