Blog Decisions
I’ve been stressing for quite awhile now over what to do with my blog, I love hosting on WordPress but the down time and issues right now are almost overwhelming. I previously used blogengine.net as a platform and while my asp skills suck worse than my php skills I did manage to fumble my way around and even created a template or two.
Blogengine.net can be run as a database blog like wordpress or an xml based blog like blogger, and while I lean towards a database, and recent tests have shown me that this is slightly faster, when I did this before there were other issues. I guess since there is total portability between both versions and WordPress this shouldn’t be such a tough decision, it’s just that I’m sick of the down time and the aggravations. I just want to type my posts, visit other blogs, and get on with life.
Okay, enough of my whining about the blog, time to make a decision. Perhaps it’s time for a nice ski vacation, or maybe trip to a tropical paradise would do me good. Yeah right, who am I kidding, the farthest I’m heading any time soon is the Mississippi.
