Getting Way Too Grown Up
Some days she just takes my breath away, seems hard to believe that it has been almost eight years since she was born and yet when I look at her I know that she has come a million miles from that point. Last night she tried to travel a few more.
We went down to the flooded Mississippi to see how far it had receded and were pleased to be able to walk down to the flats. I got a few decent shots of the sunset but those are for another day.
On the way back to the car she saw a girl of about 11 or 12 climbing and posing for photos on the ring sculpture and just had to try it. She never quite made her ultimate goal of lying where the rings intersect but she sure had fun trying.
We were definitely pushing the limits of my little point and shoot trying to get pics of it in the last moments of sunset but we got at least one to share so its all good.
She sure is a cutie. Look at that smile.
