Converting
I’ve been busy converting all my sites from windows/asp based pages to linux/php based pages. GoDaddy will let me switch my hosting type at any time and I have to think that wordpress will behave better when it isn’t going through the windows based servers. There are days I feel like I am running on a treadmill with these hosting issues, doing a whole lot of work but not really getting anywhere. I’m hoping this change will be a little different.
When the change over actually occurs there will probably be a short downtime here on the blog and then it should look pretty much like it does now. The only really big changes you might see is the blog actually functioning correctly and if you’ve bookmarked a specific post you may lose that bookmark. The rest of it should all happen behind the scenes.
Truthfully, if it were only the blog hosted on this account I’d have done this already, but we have 3 other sites hosted on the account so it takes a bit of time. I’ll let you all know when I’m ready to make the change.
I felt much the same way until I moved to Blue Host.
