Random Peeks Into Our Everyday Lives

Job Hunting

I’m quite busy this week and next participating in a job search class. They provide access to lots of jobs that aren’t advertised elsewhere and help people to make the most of those opportunities by making sure that everyone has accurate, up to date, and effective resumes, job interview skills, and appropriate clothing for interviews.

I’ve done funner things in my life but one day in and I’ve already gotten a couple of great leads on jobs. Too bad not everyone is taking advantage of the knowledge and advice being shared. You would think that in this lousy economy people would take advantage of every opportunity offered.

Hopefully before this two week stretch is up I’ll be employed or at least several steps closer than I am right now. Keep your fingers crossed…

I’ve already done the training thing. For me, the absolutely most effective way to get employeed is to do volunteer work. As soon as people see me in action, they offer work.
