All Fluffed Up With No Place To Go
Our cats are all so different, especially when it comes to their tails. Based on our current 3 we’ve decided that there must be an exploding tail gene. See our cat Abbie never suffers from a super fluffed tail, and Clarkie, his poufs sometimes, but not often and not too large, it’s Lucyfur who’s got the best tail. Poor Lucy, this photo shows the second time in 3 hours that her tail exploded like this, it takes almost nothing to make it happen and it takes several minutes for it to resolve. Unfortunately it embarrasses her and she usually hides until it passes, sure glad I had the camera handy to catch her just sitting around.

She’s a lovely Calico. I don’t think she’s embarrassed about her tail, except that it shows something excited her or scared her, then she found out there was nothing to get all het up about, and got embarrassed. Poor sweetie. She sure is beautiful, though.
