multi-generation madhouse includes pets and meals

Yep it’s just another typical grey mid-south winter day, but at least it’s warm out, 66 right now. I know I’ll love what this little warm streak does for the utility bill next month. I can’t believe I’ve already started taking down the Christmas decorations, but I just don’t want to be stuck with them for months.

I tested a great recipe for One Roast Vegetable and earned a free month on their subscription site. The Lentil Potage was easy and yummy, it also required very little alteration to work with our special low sodium diet. They have a great free newsletter for anyone who is interested.

Now I’m off to pick out twelve small home improvement type projects to do over the next year. Right up near the top of that list are fixing Mom’s toilet and changing the door knob on the front door, then maybe I’ll replace the baseboard I ripped out when we flooded. I don’t know that we’ll be here the whole year but until we move I’m determined to make this house as comfortable as possible. See you next year!
