Confused
I’ve always thought that the whole point of attending college was to actually learn something. Over the last few months I’ve come to question this idea. As I’ve worked on the last few classes for my Associate degree I’ve seen more & more of the spoon feed me so I can pass the test mentality and less & less of the I really want to learn. In my online classes the teachers dish out even the simplest assignment in small doses and base grades on the most ridiculous of things. Then I hit my first on campus class and discovered that it was even more so there. The teacher pretty much accepts that a good portion of the students won’t buy the books and that most who do won’t read them. The scheduled assignments are set so that you would have to miss almost every class to fail. I guess it will be easy enough to pass but it sort of negates the value, at least for me.
