Rain, Rain Go Away
Torrential rains, thunderstorms, tornadoes, high sheer winds and they just keep coming. So far we’ve been lucky and nothing but rain, rain, and more rain has come really close to us but there has been quite a bit of damage around town and just across the river. There’s even a huge fire at a business hit by lightning. Our wet/dry vac is getting a workout cleaning up the small floods with each round of torrential downpours. Guess it’s time to look into more effective methods of keeping our house dry, of course part of the problem is that the ground is just so saturated at this point that the water just sits on the surface with no where to go. It’s supposed to let up around 3am so that’s when I’ll be heading off to bed, till then it’s play on the computer when I can and vacuum up the puddles as they form.
Yup….in Canada we are also enjoying the extreme discombobulation of spring weather. One day we are in shorts and flipflops and the next right back into our winter gear.
Insanity is pretty much how I describe Mother Natures idea of fun~
