Back to Storms
I wish I’d spent more time taking pictures yesterday while we were at the Coon Creek Science Center for the once a year members dig. The sky was perfect and the temperature just right, the ground had dried enough to sit on comfortably, and the was a light breeze to keep us cool. We had lots of fun digging and cleaning fossils. I’m sure there were plenty of moments I could have used while printing postcards.
About a third of the way home the sky filled up with picture perfect clouds that looked like waves. Unfortunately this beauty was short lived and by the time we were a little over halfway the sky was grey and ominous as far as the eye could see. It started raining shortly before we got home and its been raining on and off ever since.
We’ve had so much rain and the Mississippi is so high that the whole county is under flood watches and warning. So far we’re safe and dry, hopefully it stays that way.
