Word of the Week: aquatic

They worked tirelessly despite the realization that their efforts were futile. The aquatic invasion could not be stopped.

I couldn’t resist the flood theme given the current state of affairs here on along the lower Mississippi. Made using the word of the week just too easy.

The River is making so much damage for so many. My prayers go out to all of you, God Bless

A very clever take on the prompt, CC..aquatic invasions are hard to forestall, indeed! I mistakenly used last week’s photo for today’s prompt, but had fun doing it…:)

Poor Memphis! (And, anyone else it its path.) The only blessing is that it’s slow rising, so there is time to get out and save lives. But, property is an entirely different matter.

Very interesting take on the photo.

Water invasions are difficult to slow and over come! Great take on this.

I hope their efforts are not completely futile and at least some property will be saved from destruction! I hope efforts along the lower Mississippi will be successful in protecting property. All the best to you.

Great take on our current events. I hadn’t thought about it before, but that could be why I chose aquatic this week.

    Here’s to receding H2O.

Truly, I wish all this awful flooding was a force that could be reckoned with and then DRIED UP.

Some forces can never be kept at bay, can they?
