Driftwood On The Mississippi

This is one of the photos I took on our second journey to visit the greatly flooded Mississippi last week. Thankfully the river crested more than a foot below the flood level of 1937 and the new levees and flood gates appear to have held. Now if Mother Nature will just refrain from dumping too much extra water on us for a few weeks we might all dry out.

Driftwood has such photogenic shapes, and the water really sets it off.
