Random Peeks Into Our Everyday Lives

Advertising

Have you ever wondered about advertising your blog? It’s something I’ve thought about over the last couple of months and after a cursory look at an Advertising Agency I opted to tried a few different blog advertising sites that don’t require funds to get started. While there has been a definite increase in traffic to my blog I’m not sure overall, any of them have achieved exactly what I was aiming for.

While it’s true that these visit me I’ll visit you sites have generated a substantial increase in traffic, it isn’t necessarily the kind of traffic I’m looking for. In reality, what I’ve done is trade at least part of the time I have for blogging for time working these systems and a bunch of random visitors who don’t necessarily read or comment on my blog. Add to that the fact that none of these visit trade systems is really that much fun to work.

Too bad I don’t have any kind of advertising budget to spend with a real Advertising Agency that helps you develop a genuine marketing strategy and implements it for you. I mean seriously how great would it be to have someone who understands SEO and how to correctly implement effective SEO strategies. Perhaps it would be fun to have someone to get me started down the road of lucrative social media marketing. Imagine the beauty and joy of a professionally created ad that would just drive readers to my blog, maybe they’d even leave comments.

Alas, for now, my poor little personal blog is destined to remain on the outskirts of this marketing and advertising wonderland provided by a full-fledge Advertising Agency as I dream about the day it’s not so out of reach.

I agree that the “trade me” sites aren’t worth it. Like you said, it’s not going to generate the readers that we want who will actually read our posts and leave comments. I wish I knew an easy way to generate more traffic… good traffic!
