Random Peeks Into Our Everyday Lives

Final Resting Place

Book Blurb Friday Week #21

Morty Bidson had always known there were secrets in his family, he’d just never imagined they were important enough to kill for.

Now Morty is running from the killers and the law while desperately trying to uncover the truth. Can he find the “secret” that has been hidden in the Billersville cemetery for nearly a century? Can he evade his pursuers, good and bad, long enough to clear his name?

Will Morty find a way back to the life lies have stripped from him or will a long forgotten, dusty crypt be the last home he knows?

Book Blurb FridayMy blurb this week has 97 words.

Book Blurb Friday is hosted by Lisa Ricard Claro, who posts a weekly photo and challenges us to “write a book jacket blurb (150 words or less) so enticing that potential readers would feel compelled to buy the book.” That’s quite a challenge, but it’s a lot of fun as well. The last sentence is amazing. What a spectacular way to end your blurb. (I was really late posting this week.)

Exciting mystery. I’ve always wanted to write mysteries but I’m terrible at plotting. This plot sounds like a good one. Save another copy for me.

Great blurb! Now I want to know what happens with Morty! I always both love and hate page-turners… love them because they’re so gripping and good… hate them because then I never get anything else done and end up losing sleep because I can’t put them down!

I hope that Morty doesn’t end up perishing in the bottom of that statue! You certainly have my interest; I want to read more and find out what happens and what the secrets are.

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit.

Love the mystery angle. And anything with a “long forgotten, dusty crypt” at the end is irresistible!

Love especially the way you have cropped this image and both title and synopsis imply this would be worth a punt.

Just what are these secrets that threaten Morty? I love a good mystery and this has the makings of one!

I’ll take a copy, please. Morty sounds a bit like the graveyard version of The Fugitive and I loved that show. Danger, action and a secret sound like a winning combination. That title gives me chills. :D

Poor Morty! It sounds as if he’s stepped into something unexpected and dangerous. I love stories of an everyday guy trying to extricate himself from crazy circumstances, especially when he’s not entirely sure what happened, and it sounds like Morty is just such a guy. I’d read this! (Surely there’s romance for Morty, too. . .) :)
