A Long Day
It’s been a long and frustrating day here. To start with my “PAL” from k12 enrollment never did call and when I called there it turned out there is just more bad news. They did get my documents and I am all set to be enrolled except for the fact that not only does Union county have to approve my out of district enrollment, so does the Memphis City School district. Heaven only knows how long all of that will take.
Then we headed out in the pouring rain and huge crowds to buy expensive school and art supplies because I had promised we would. I despise crowded stores and on three days of shorted sleep they become something of a grand misadventure. At least we got all the stuff we need to complete several weeks of Meet The Masters art projects.
At home my laptop and my old computer decided to stop talking. Then the old pc locked me out! This meant that I couldn’t access the art lesson, notes, and graphics I had collected for the lesson I promised her today. I’ll be honest I’ve cried more than today.
Life has mostly settled at 11:50pm – the computers are talking, the art supplies are getting their first test drive, we’ve completed our first MTM lesson, and we are finally enjoying some pizza. Who knows I might even get a full nights sleep tonight or is it tomorrow?
