Random Peeks Into Our Everyday Lives

Uncertain Exposure

The whirlwind European tour had merely been a way Book Blurb Friday Week #24to disappear, to fade once more from a world that could no longer be hers. Casey had long since given up on love, family, and all other trappings of a “normal” life; living on the run didn’t allow for the kinds of relationships that produced these.

Unfortunately, for Casey nothing is going as planned. First, she runs into a childhood friend who despite layers of disguise recognizes her instantly; then her wallet and passport are stolen. Prevented from continuing with the tour group she seeks invisibility in the historic Marais district until their return.

What Casey finds in a quiet French alley could change her life forever if only she can stand still long enough to let it.

My blurb this week has 127 words.

Book Blurb FridayBook Blurb Friday is hosted by Lisa Ricard Claro, who posts a weekly photo and challenges us to “write a book jacket blurb (150 words or less) so enticing that potential readers would feel compelled to buy the book.” That’s quite a challenge, but it’s a lot of fun as well. This one sounds like it has some interesting back story. Not to mention front story. I would read it cover to cover!

I find myself wanting to know why she wants to hide and whether or not the stolen ID are linked to that. Nice!

Poor Casey…from what is she running, I wonder? I know, for that I’ll have to buy the book. And I would…if only! Terrific blurb, a nice back story mystery and certain romance just around the bend.

I’m curious to know what she finds in the quiet alley. Romance would be a possibility with another author, but I just know you are headed somewhere else. I’d love to find out where that is.

What a great story! I want to learn what happens next … you have given me so much to think about. It sounds like a story of fate.

    Hope your weekend is wonderful,

Great start to a real story about losing oneself…maybe with redemption at the end?
