Random Peeks Into Our Everyday Lives

Around The House

glass & wrought iron table

We’re a super casual household and rarely worry about many of the conventional things. But occasionally Grandma and I get to dreaming about the things we’d like to have in this house or our next one.

One thing I’d like to improve about our current residence is the state of our back patio. I keep thinking perhaps a glass top table with wrought iron table legs and some matching wrought iron chairs with pretty cushions. I’ve even thought of replacing the large picture window with a sliding glass door with a sleek flush door pull. That would really improve our access to the patio and back yard.

In our kitchen I’d love to replace the oddly shaped ceramic sink with one of those stainless undermount kitchen sinks I see in the home improvement stores. It would mean no more dish drainer messes on the counter tops and it would surely clean easier. Hey as long as I’m dreaming perhaps a new silent Bosch dishwasher that doesn’t flood the kitchen every other time you run it. That would be a dream!

Heck, as long as I’m at it I would love to redo Miss Muffin’s room. Perhaps an Antarctic theme or a cute zoo theme complete with tiger print blankets and giraffe comforter since she’s such an animal fan. It would be fun to just give her the room of her dreams.

Back in the real world, I’ve got a sick kid, a meal to cook, and a laundry to do…

Have had similar thoughts – but mostly to extend walls out for more room, larger garage, then with the larger rooms just to have a dishwasher! LOL Although, I do have to say I rather enjoy doing them some times, and other times my brother does them for me, so that is really nice. When the temp dips big time, and I get chilled, it feels so nice to put my hands in that lovely warm water. . . . On a similar note, at that time of year, I hate to fill the ice cube trays! LOL
