In A Pinch
Everyone knows the economy is in a real slump and many of us have cut back, pinched pennies, and nickled & dimed our savings to the point of extinction. So what do you do when there’s no more money and you desperately need some.
I’ve had friends who have sold family heirlooms, or downsized their houses and cars. I have other friends who’ve started small home-based businesses or turned to internet ventures to fill the gap. Many families have at least one adult who works 2 or more jobs to help make ends meet. The ways in which we all manage to survive are proof that we are both creative and resilient.
One surprising trend is the rise in car title loans Philadelphia to LA. It seems this is a quick and simple way for many to get a little extra cash. I suppose its okay as long as you know how you’ll be paying it back. It could be quite the disaster if you couldn’t.
For me, I’ll stick to the little extra I generate blogging and continue to look for ways to minimize my expenses. Who knows perhaps a new, cheaper residence is in my future.
