The Carpet Dilemma
My neighbor often asks my advice on everything from her low sodium diet, something I know a little about, to which team will win tomorrow’s game, I don’t even know what sport she referring to, while I play taxi shuttling her around town. These conversations are often comical with one or both of us thoroughly confused by their end.
Last week she took it to a whole new level though when she brought up home d-i-y. I immediately wanted to know the nature of the project, after all I’ve seen what happened to my bushes when they trimmed them, please let it not involve a knife or shears.
She explained that several weeks ago they stripped the old carpet out of one of the bedrooms thinking it would be simple to replace. Of course, during the process of removal they began to realize there was a lot more involved than first expected so they got online and watched a free how to install carpet video, unfortunately it left them even more confused than when they started.
Next she told me came trips to the library, bookstore, and local home improvement stores in hopes of finding a how to install carpet video, book, or class that would guide them to completion of their project. The fact that the room is still stripped to its concrete sub-floor should give you a clue as to how successful they were.
Feeling bad for them and knowing they had most likely performed only the most rudimentary of internet searches I went home and looked for myself. I managed to locate a few resources I think should help them and I’ve encouraged them to check out the how to install carpet video offered at EZ2DO HOME. Hopefully before too long they’ll be back on track and back on carpet.
