Still Looking
We’ve taken a few more drives around a couple different Memphis neighborhoods, checking out houses and getting a better feel for the areas we would most like to live in. Our custom google map of the areas we’d most like to live and the houses available in them grows daily. Of course, we wouldn’t be us if we didn’t get distracted, this time by some great Edmonton rentals.
I’m still not sure about the Canadian winters, I like snow as long as I don’t have to spend too much time in it, but it’s hard to argue with gorgeous homes with gleaming hardwood floors, or charming apartment buildings with spacious, modern apartments. I was ready to move after viewing just a few properties.
Reality check says that unless we win the lottery, find a genie in a lamp, or that tornado really does come to relocate us moving that far isn’t something that’s in the finances right now. Unless we pared down to the bare essentials, packed them in our car and moved into one of those tiny houses. Okay being real with three of us it would be a small house or cottage at best, but it could happen.
I know how to get rid of all our stuff, I learned this the last time we moved. Just announce a freecycle day and hide the stuff you don’t want them to take. It took under 60 minutes for the bulk of the stuff to move last time and then we were free to get on with the packing and moving.
Some how I suspect that we’re staying right here in Memphis for the moment but hey it doesn’t hurt to dream.
