Dreams of Riding
As a kid I loved riding horses and once enjoyed two weeks at a 4-H camp riding horses. Not even getting kicked slowed me down. I would have loved to do more but riding is an expensive hobby and not necessarily well suited to city living.
As expensive as it might have been when I was a child, at least I had a child’s sensibilities about appropriate riding wear – t shirt, jeans, and department store riding boots filled the bill. Now as an adult I’ve become aware of how expensive it can be, especially if you are competing. Whether its your helmet, jacket, pants, or field boots for riding having the right apparel makes a difference.
I still dream about riding sometimes, it’s always fun and I never get kicked. I can tell my dreams are fueled by my occasional perusal of riding apparel available online, especially when I see myself sporting the latest in Ariat equestrian boots. I love the look of the Ariat challenge field boot but I wouldn’t say no to any of their spectacular line of riding footwear.
Maybe after we’ve downsized the rest of our lives and there by the time and funds to try a little riding. I think it would be to get Miss Muffin up on a horse, she certainly wasn’t afraid of them when she was younger.
