The Foreseeable Future
These days, the foreseeable isn’t all that far ahead. Life seems more manageable, when I deal with things a day at a time. I do have a few things on the agenda this week besides my never ending classes and homework.
The university has a career fair scheduled on Thursday and it is up there on my “must do” list. It’s never too soon to start networking with prospective employers. That’s the whole point of pursuing my education. Okay, maybe not the whole point, but satisfying my thirst for knowledge isn’t the main goal of all this education!
Top on the list this week is Grandma’s cataract surgery tomorrow and then the post-op visit on Wednesday. While she has cataracts in both eyes, the right is markedly worse, so that’s the one that will be done first. If everything goes well with the right, they’ll do the left in a few weeks and then she’ll be ready for whatever glasses are needed. The surgery won’t remove the need for glasses completely, so glasses are next. She’s talking about getting some eyeglass frames for men, since she finds most of the ladies frames a bit small for her head. She, of course, claims that is due to her extra-large brain! No comment. D Hopefully, she’ll be seeing far better in the foreseeable future.
