Camera Critters #1 – New faces at the zoo…
We have a new exhibit at our zoo, it features animals found in Yellowstone National Park and the surrounding areas. Since this just happens to include one of my favorite animals the gray wolf I was beyond thrilled with Friday’s Members Only opening. Here are some pics of the 6 month old pack of 1 boy, Dakota, and 3 girls, Shiloh, Meeka, Rocky – please don’t ask which is which, I’m still working on that.

Calico: Congrats on joining the CC group. The wolves are really cool and I enjoyed the ones you captured w/o the enclosure the best.
Great photos! I think I would be a bit scared to be so close to them

Those wolves are beautiful — I was struck by the red and butterscotch tones in their coats. I don’t think I’ve seen that with Gray Wolves before, although I know they have a lot of variability in color.

Wolves are such entrancing animals and these youngsters are truly beautiful. It must be marvellous to be able to observe them at such close quarters.
