Photo 365
While setting up a photobucket album for one of my reading challenges I set up a album for a Photo 365 challenge. Now I just need to upload photos to the album…Calico’s Photo 365 Album.

Seamless Tiles
I was playing with Paint Shop Pro hoping to make a few seamless tiles for my blog when I got an idea. Done in greyscale the tiles would be super versatile. Anyone with a graphics program could colorize the tiles to match their blog or website in just a few minutes. So here are today’s creations ready for whomever wants them, just right click and save.
The first 3 in the 1st column are a single weave pattern, the first 3 in the 2nd column are a double weave (my dark background), then horizontal slats, vertical slats, giraffe spots, bunny fur, and dalmatian spots.

Flooded Mississippi

We managed to get down to the river before the water started receding. The trees in this photo are favorites and are actually a few feet in from the normal edge of the river.

Photo Framed Photos
I thought it would be fun to do a quick Paintshop only tut on the photo framed photos I posted on Friday. For today’s example I am using 7 photos my daughter took at our local zoo.

Warning: The remainder of this post is graphics heavy.

A Tut (of sorts) For Those Tippy Taped Photos
I get a lot of comments and compliments about the photo on my blog, so I decided to share my secrets for rotated, taped, floating photos. I willl be using both Photoshop CS2 and Paint Shop Pro 9 for specific examples; but the process should work in any photo editing software that uses layers and saves/exports in png format (gif can be used but quality will be sacrificed).

Warning: The remainder of this post is graphics heavy.

Check This Out!
I am a graphics fiend and I love to play, create, and manipulate. I have Photoshop and Flash, but my favorite graphics/editing program is Paint Shop Pro. The reason for this is that it is super user friendly, something that Photoshop, for all it's wonderful qualities, is not famous for.
A few years ago I took some PSP classes at Virtual University, and through them discovered the graphics group I belong to, thePlace. Through thePlace, I have met lots of wonderful people and learned all kinds of fun graphics tips and tricks.
I have on occassion put these to good use creating blog templates for myself, and then recently I put a bunch of blogger templates up, free to all, at Tabbikat's Creations.
Now to the point of this whole thing… One friend was a computer programmer in her pre-PSP days, and has treated us to some really nifty scripts over the last several months. Now she is starting up a blog, Warped Eggs Scripting, where she will offer PSP and Scripting Freebies, PSP Scripting Lessons, and even some cute stuff for kids. I, of course, designed her blog for her using elements from her personal web page to create a seamless flow once they are connected.
Her first post is up today, The PSP Affair, Part 1, and I have heard that there will be Freebies tomorrow, so be sure to check it out.
