Clipix: See It, Save It, Sort It, Share It

I’m single, a college student, a mother, homeschool teacher, grocery shopper, and cook. I’m always looking for things that save time, keep me organized, and in general make life easier.
I love all the fabulous things you can find on the internet, and many of them save time and money, if only you can find them when you need them. [Read more →]

Work Smarter, Not Harder
In my early 20′s I worked briefly in a phone bank for television shopping service, followed by a stint as a lead generator for a financial planner. While the phone bank was boring and paid poorly it had one thing going for it; at least the people I talked to there really wanted to talk with me. [Read more →]

Picking the Winners
Content by Mac Kline
I love sports. It’s the only reason I keep television service at my house. So many of the events I like to watch are now on special channels that don’t come into the house over the air so I would miss tons of stuff if I didn’t have it. For example, March Madness is just around the corner and I like to watch ALL of the games. Thanks goodness for all of my Dish Network Sports Channels. Without them I’d be like everyone else scrambling online to find the scores to update my brackets. Fortunately I don’t have to. Plus with all the games I can watch my brackets are always in top shape. I’m able to watch most of the teams when they play so I can pick the winners better than anyone! I don’t tell anyone that’s my secret—I just let them think I am that good at picking the winners! Of course after several years of always winning the office pools, no one is really surprised anymore!

More than once I went without coffee for hours because I couldn’t settle her down and I didn’t feel safe pouring coffee while I held her. This sent Grandma in search of a solution as a birthday gift that year. [Read more →]

Make Some Noise
I’d never thought much about drums until a trip to the local music store the other day. I was investigating ideas for home school music class and decided to talk with their pro, Keith, about possible guitar classes for Miss Muffin. [Read more →]

Moozings
I’ve never been the girl to spend hours shopping for clothes or footwear and most of my nicer clothing, aka business or dressy, is purchased as needed. Seriously, now that I live in the south t-shirts, jeans, shorts, and flip-flops make up 95% of my wardrobe and things like shoe and boot shopping happen only when I need something to complete a specific outfit. IT Training Options
I’m currently working on finishing my computer programming and web design degree. I enjoy the process and think that getting my Bachelor’s will ultimately be worth it. However, when it comes to IT training there are a lot of options for education besides the traditional college route. [Read more →]
