Heads *or* Tails – Heads – Pack
HEADS – “Pack”
I shuddered when I read the theme for this week, the word pack brings only one thing to mind – MOVING. We moved this summer with only a few weeks notice and it seems our lives have been nothing but an endless series of boxes being packed and unpacked since.
I was grateful to have help loading and unloading the truck, but boy as I was driving that thing for seven and a half a hours across 4 states I began to wonder if driving a poorly packed 27 foot uhaul would make me a candidate for high risk life insurance. We made it safely to our new home, have had a whole slew of adventures since, and I expect we’ll have plenty more in the future, hopefully none of them involve packing.

I love the adventure of living in a ‘new environment’…but boy howdy I know what you mean about packing and unpacking!!! You drove the truck?!!!! High 5!!

That was certainly quite the adventure. I’m looking forward to sharing many more, but let’s skip another moving adventure for a while.

I feel your pain. Me and Mr. Skittles moved in August last year. It’s such hard work. Everything is unpacked now except for the things in his play room. Trains, models, tools.. I just try not to look when I walk by the door. =)

It’s been several years now, but I vividly remember moving all my worldly possessions a couple thousand miles in a Ryder truck. At one point we got caught at a weigh station and had ourselves checked. Subtracting off the weight of the truck itself and the car on a trailer we were towing, we had 11 tons of stuff. It took days to unload and even longer to load.
