Sun to the West Moon to the East

These are from the zoo last week on Tuesday. As we were leaving after the Komodo dragon feeding my daughter noticed that we could see the sun and the moon in the sky at the same time. We had fun taking pictures in the parking lot. I must admit that it’s fun spending the days with my daughter exploring the world, so much better than searching for how to treat acne or any of those other teen issues I know are coming some day.

You got a picture of the “wolf moon.” I tried, but all I got was a blur.

It is not often that both orbs. sun and moon, are visible at the same time. Here they coexist nicely, prompting us to keep our eyes focused on the heavens…

Ooh, I have to look for something like that myself. It would be fun to shoot, I think…:)

What interesting photos. Have never seen the sun and moon in the sky at the same time. Must keep my eyes open like your daughter.

The only time I have ever been able to take a good picture of the moon is when it’s out during the day! Otherwise it looks more like the beautiful picture of the sun you have there!

I really like that shot of the sun.

You’ve got it right – enjoy the time you spend together now. Teenagers are just, well, teenagers. Love ‘em and wanna strangle ‘em all at the same time!

It’s really nice to see others who appreciate the beauty of nature, especially the sky. People miss out on so much rushing around all over the place like headless chickens. I also love the sun and moon especially early mornings and late evenings and it’s not very often you see them together. Your pictures of cloud formations are great and it’s interesting to see how you pick out characters and objects from them. My partner likes it when I do that too. When flying somewhere and the clouds appear inverted as we’re above them you get some great scenes such as deserts with an oasis, fortresses etc. Keep up the great work.
Best
