My 1st Teaser:

It took less than a second, and the whole time I was waiting for the pain to get me. For the flames to hit and then spread like the night I’d met her, only faster.

By the time I realized I’d been alone in the dark and should have been mortally afraid (at least according to D’Eriq), I was walking into my well-lit backyard. Maybe worrying about my spiritual life was a welcome distraction from reliving physical torture.

Every day close to a dozen of these planes fly over my office parking lot. They create some really cool shadows on the windows of my 8th floor office. As you can tell from this shot hazy, hot, and humid are still the key words for our weather here. The constant hazy cloud cover makes me think of a smoky room, you know a bar at the end of the night or some swanky cigar club where the men have been smoking their Padron cigars all evening.

My Teaser:

I take a look at the picture that all the papers are running, a shot taken a couple of months ago at an awards show. He’s wearing a bizarre velvet tuxedo, bottle green; it looks like it came from a thrift store, but it’s more likely that he paid some designer a ridiculous sum of money for it. His hair look tangled and dirty–though again, I’m sure he went to a great deal of trouble to get it that way–and his jaw is stubbly.

On a totally unrelated note I’m pleased to say that a few thundershowers have graced us with a morning that is just 75/81, compared to most of our recent mornings this is down right chilly. I can’t believe I’m saying this but here’s to hoping our 50% chance of thundershowers happens today.
