Every day close to a dozen of these planes fly over my office parking lot. They create some really cool shadows on the windows of my 8th floor office. As you can tell from this shot hazy, hot, and humid are still the key words for our weather here. The constant hazy cloud cover makes me think of a smoky room, you know a bar at the end of the night or some swanky cigar club where the men have been smoking their Padron cigars all evening.

It’s 84 with at heat index of 91 at 7:35am cdt, this whole week has been more of that crazy hot, humid weather. Our neighbors got some great outdoor furniture at a fabulous price and I’d be even more jealous of how cute it is, but no one is using it, so… I might consider some outdoor pillows to dress our current stuff up. Now is the time to do it as the summer stuff goes on sale and the back to school craze hits maximum velocity.

Speaking of school… I’ve finished my part of the grant process and now I’m just waiting on a decision. Hopefully I’ll know today and not next week. I’m really excited to start school, mostly cause my life isn’t really crazy enough right now.

Funny thing is it doesn’t matter how hot it is outside, because every day when I go to work I get frozen. Really! It’s like an icebox and since I’m doing tons of data entry my fingers are little icicles when I finish. Oh well, at least it balances out the weather.

We have those cloudy skies again and we really don’t need them. It’s only been two weeks since the rain that flooded everything from here to Nashville. Of course, they aren’t predicting that kind of storm but you can’t help but be a little gun shy after you’ve spent time digging trenches and sand bagging. I suppose if I did a little more physical labor like that I would have to wonder if the top fat burners really work, or if that gym membership really would be useful.
