Mr. Snowman

Our snowman is feeling the effects of living in the south. Even with the cooler temps the sun has been shining and most of the evidence from the snow this past Monday is gone. While most men I know are frequently plagued by worries of how to prevent hair loss I think that this gentleman’s concern is more likely how to prevent snow loss. I’d get him a plane ticket for Antarctica but I don’t think he’d survive the trip.

Snow Day!

We got snow Sunday night, enough to make the world a white wonderland in the eyes of a child on Monday morning. Our girl was determined to make a snowman and so we set out into the dripping world and built. Our girl didn’t really want to get her hands into at first, I’m not exactly sure what she was hoping for, perhaps some industrial hand wheels that she could stick in a small clump of snow and then roll it around without actually touching it. Silly southern sweetie.

As usual there isn’t really enough snow to keep ground debris from getting all over the snowman; but since the car was in the drive it was covered in pristine snow that we could use to surface coat our small creation. A few stones for eyes, a baby carrot for a nose, green pepper slice for a mouth, and a leaf for a feather in his snow hat and we had our selves one handsome little fellow.

There is still a little snow left on the ground but seeing as it’s 3:30am here and it hasn’t fallen below the freezing mark yet I suspect what little there is will be gone soon.

These photos are what it looked like out our back door at 10:15 am cst. The snow is falling like crazy, it is my southern child’s wildest dream come true. So glad I don’t have to go anywhere.
