Mr. Snowman

Our snowman is feeling the effects of living in the south. Even with the cooler temps the sun has been shining and most of the evidence from the snow this past Monday is gone. While most men I know are frequently plagued by worries of how to prevent hair loss I think that this gentleman’s concern is more likely how to prevent snow loss. I’d get him a plane ticket for Antarctica but I don’t think he’d survive the trip.

These are from the zoo last week on Tuesday. As we were leaving after the Komodo dragon feeding my daughter noticed that we could see the sun and the moon in the sky at the same time. We had fun taking pictures in the parking lot. I must admit that it’s fun spending the days with my daughter exploring the world, so much better than searching for how to treat acne or any of those other teen issues I know are coming some day.

We were field trip crazy last week including: library, zoo, river, museum, educational IMAX, and the nature center. I now have so many photos to choose from I don’t know where to begin. Just wish I gotten a little more everyday stuff done around the house.

Yesterday at the zoo it was a day of sun and a day of clouds, a day of rain and a day of dry. Seriously the weather could not make up it’s mind. Then to make it worse while we were waiting for a keeper chat I saw blue sky to the East end of the zoo and grey sky to the West end of the zoo. Go figure…

We took the dog for a walk on the river Tuesday night and of course I brought my camera. The sun was a blazing ball when we got there and I wondered how brilliant the sunset would be. It wasn’t all the earlier moments promised but I did get just over 400 photos. Towards the end I was pushing the limits of my little point and shoot and lost some quality; but without flash still looked better than with flash. Someday I will own a real camera and then I will need a million external hard drives to hold all my photos.
If you leave a comment and I don’t get back to you right away, I promise I will before the day is through. It’s a special day at the zoo today and we will be gone for most of the daylight hours.
